WEST HAM are reportedly in talks to sign former Southampton star Graziano Pelle.
The Daily Mail claims David Moyes wants the Italian to bolster his frontline before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
Pelle, 32, currently plys his trade for Chinese Super League outfit Shandong Luneng.
But despite earning mega-bucks in the Far East, the Italy international apparently craves a return to Europe.
Pelle scored 30 goals during his two seasons with the Saints but has only managed to find the back of the net 12 times since joining Shandong 18 months ago.
The Chinese outfit are apparently open to selling Pelle, and West Ham are feeling confident they can secure his signature over the next few days.

The player himself fancies a move to the London Stadium, where he would be reunited with former Southampton teammate Jose Fonte.
And Pelle could become West Ham’s second signing of the month following Joao Mario’s loan move from Inter Milan.
‘VERY SAD’ Arthur Masuaku sorry for spitting at Nick Powell
The report adds that Moyes is still wants to land another midfield, and is targeting Fulham’s Tom Cairney as well as Anderlecht’s Leander Dendoncker.
West Ham are also looking to land Bologna left-back Adam Masina on loan, with Arthur Masuaku facing a six-match ban for spitting at Nick Powell during Saturday’s FA Cup defeat to Wigan.
